Arm lift

Arm Lift (Brachioplasty) is a surgical procedure that removes loose skin and excess fat deposits in the upper arm. The looseness and sagging of the skin of the arm can be either a result of aging, or extreme weight loss.

If the patient requests arm surgery at a time when skin is still enough elastic, the best solution can be liposuction. But if the skin has lost its elasticity and is highly loose, liposuction will not produce the desired effect.

In such a situation an arm lift would deliver the best results. During the arm lift an incision is made from the elbow to the armpit, along the interior area of the arm, and the excess skin and fat is removed. In some cases an arm lift may be used in conjunction with liposuction. The surgeon will advise you on which procedure is the most appropriate for you.
